Mr. Donuts Expands with New Location on East 10th Street.
Sioux Falls, SD — Mr. Donuts has opened a new location at 1010 E. 10th St., marking its second outlet in the city. The newly renovated space, previously occupied by a Hardee’s, features an expanded kitchen to accommodate wholesale baking and a larger dining area for customers.
The new bakery begins its day early, with fresh batches of glazed and cake doughnuts, twists, bear claws, long johns, and apple fritters available by 5 a.m. Daily offerings also include freshly ground coffee, cappuccinos, and a variety of beverages such as milk, juice, sodas, and energy drinks.
Owner Stev Meas, who runs the business with his wife, Chanda Chou, said the additional space allows for group gatherings and special events, including field trips for daycare children. The bakery’s dining area retains booths and tables that can seat over 50 people.
Meas, who immigrated from Cambodia in 2005, previously honed his baking skills in California and Texas before relocating to Sioux Falls. After acquiring the original Sioux Falls doughnut shop two years ago, he revamped the recipes to reflect his baking expertise.
“I appreciate the kindness of the people here. They’ve been very supportive and enjoy my doughnuts,” Meas said.
The new location will also introduce mochi doughnuts, a Japanese treat known for its crispy exterior and chewy interior. Available flavors will include vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, and maple.
Alongside its sweet offerings, Mr. Donuts serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches on croissants and bagels, as well as Texas kolaches—cheddar sausage wrapped in sweet dough—with a spicy jalapeño cheddar option.
The new shop operates from 5 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday and from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday, maintaining the same hours as its original location at 1100 S. Minnesota Ave
