Krispy Kreme Donuts to Be Offered at Acadiana-Area McDonald’s Next Year.
Krispy Kreme donuts will soon be available at McDonald’s locations in the Acadiana area as part of a broader partnership between the two well-known American brands.
Initially announced in March, the collaboration will begin this fall in the Chicago area and will gradually expand across the nation, according to Krispy Kreme officials.
In Acadiana, the introduction of Krispy Kreme donuts could happen as early as next spring, said E.J. Krampe, CEO and co-owner of MacLaff, which operates 45 McDonald’s locations in southern Louisiana.
“One area we haven’t quite nailed down is offering sweet treats in the morning,” Krampe noted. “We’re hopeful that this partnership will be beneficial for us. Donuts are a popular item, and we need something like this to attract more customers to our drive-thrus and restaurants.”
