Krispy Kreme to Open First Store in Morocco on August 9.
American multinational doughnut and coffee company Krispy Kreme is set to open its first store in Morocco on August 9. This new venue is part of a partnership with franchise Americana and marks a significant step in Krispy Kreme’s plan to expand globally.
Krispy Kreme’s Chief Development Officer, Raphael Duvivier, highlighted the strategic move: “Our decision to enter the Moroccan market is part of our broader expansion strategy in the Middle East and North Africa region. We know our iconic doughnuts and coffee will add an extra touch of joy to Moroccan consumers and bolster our presence in this crucial market.”
The new Moroccan location will offer a wide variety of doughnuts, including Krispy Kreme’s famous original glazed doughnut, and a selection of chocolate, hazelnut, and fruit-flavored confections. To cater to different preferences, the store will also feature cream-filled and jam-filled doughnuts, along with vegan and gluten-free options.
In addition to these offerings, Krispy Kreme has developed a range of bespoke doughnuts tailored to Moroccan tastes, including a caramel flavor inspired by local desserts like dulce de leche and churros. The menu will also include a diverse range of beverages, such as cappuccinos, lattes, various teas, and fruit frappes.
To celebrate the store’s opening, an event will feature a variety of activities and a raffle, giving attendees a chance to win a year’s supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
In a bid to support the local economy, Krispy Kreme has partnered with Moroccan suppliers to source some of its ingredients and materials. This collaboration aims to form mutually beneficial business relationships with local producers.
