WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Fifty high school and undergraduate students from the D.C. area will be honored at Nationals Park on Thursday as recipients of Dunkin’ Donuts’ annual scholarship program.
In collaboration with Scholarship America, Dunkin’ will award each of the 50 students a $2,500 academic scholarship for the undergraduate institution of their choice. This marks the third year of Dunkin’s DMV Regional Scholarship Program, which is open to high school seniors and current undergraduate students. The total of $125,000 in scholarships will be distributed among the 50 students, who were chosen based on their academic achievements, leadership skills, and dedication to their schools and communities.
“So far, the Dunkin’ DMV Regional Scholarship Program has granted $350,000 in scholarships to 140 exceptional high school seniors and college students,” according to a press release.
During the ceremony, students will also receive certificates and a special gift.
