Dunkin’ Donuts is expected to open on Columbia Pike in Annandale the first week of August, according to the general contractor working on renovating the building.
The shop will offer the same items as any other Dunkin’ Donuts: donuts, coffee, lattes, espressos, frozen drinks, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and muffins.
The Dunkin’ company, based in Canton, Mass., was founded in 1950. There are 13,200 shops worldwide, including 10 within five miles of Annandale.
The Annandale location, at 7025 Columbia Pike, is the site of a former flower shop. The building has been vacant since it was heavily damaged in a fire two years ago.
The building was originally a single-family house. Subsequent tenants included an auto repair shop, a real estate company, a newsstand, a botanical shop, and Annandale Florist.
