Monster Baby Donuts Shuts Down at East Market

Monster Baby Donuts to Close East Market Location on July 20.

Monster Baby Donuts, a kosher-certified doughnut shop, will close its retail location at 212 Kelton Ave. in Columbus on July 20.

Monster Baby Donuts was established to provide a safe space for people with food allergies to enjoy food with friends without worry. The doughnuts are gluten-free and vegan.

The doughnut shop received kosher certification in December 2023 from Buckeye Kosher. This certification was sponsored by Columbus Pathways through a grant from JewishColumbus for kosher initiatives.

According to a July 11 Instagram post, the shop is closing to allow the business to “focus on other opportunities.”

Owner Emma Fleming expressed gratitude in the post, saying, “It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know so many wonderful people who stopped by and shared part of their lives with us. I will be eternally grateful to every single person who helped make this dream a reality of having a retail location.”

Despite the closure, Monster Baby Donuts will continue to sell its products at Jim’s Market, Coffee on High, Billie Gold Bubble Tea, and through custom orders. Mini doughnuts will also be available at the businesses Monster Mobile, a pink school bus.
