Krispy Kreme is marking its 87th anniversary with a special celebration. On Friday, July 12, customers can purchase a dozen glazed donuts for just 87 cents, a nod to the 87 years since founder Vernon Rudolph began selling donuts in grocery stores in 1937.
To take advantage of this deal, customers must buy any dozen donuts at full price. According to a press release, visitors can get up to two dozen donuts for 87 cents each when bought in-person and one dozen for the same price when purchased online using the code “BDAY.”
July is a festive month for Krispy Kreme, with the donut chain celebrating Independence Day throughout the month by offering free specialty donuts every Tuesday and free iced coffee every Friday. To qualify for these deals, rewards members need to make any purchase.
On Tuesday, July 9, rewards members can choose from the Kit Kat collection, including the Kit Kat Crunch Donut, Kit Kat Cookie Dream Donut, and Kit Kat Salted Caramel Brownie Donut. These candy-inspired treats were initially introduced in April as a limited-time option.
The free donuts available on the following Tuesdays—July 15, 22, and 29—will come from different collections of specialty donuts. Krispy Kreme will announce the featured collections on their social media pages.
The free iced coffee deal on Fridays—July 12, 19, and 26—applies to any size coffee.
Krispy Kreme continues to innovate with new flavors and treats. In June, they added a new assortment of donut dots to their permanent menu. While glazed dots were already available, the new options include powdered dots, cinnamon dots, a sprinkle option, and the cookie crumb flavor. These assorted donut holes can be purchased in 10-count or 24-count cups.
