Shipley Do-Nuts, a bakery-café chain based in Texas, has bolstered its development team in an effort to streamline the process between signing new franchisees and opening new stores.
The company announced the appointments of Ryan Pullin as Director of Design and Korelle Dickson as Construction Project Manager. Pullin joins from Elite 3 Construction, where he served as President since September 2019, bringing valuable experience in construction management. Dickson, previously a Project Manager at Cref, a Massachusetts-based real estate firm, will focus on overseeing the design, permits, and construction phases to facilitate faster store openings and minimize delays.
These hires follow the recent additions of Jonathan Massey as Vice President of Sales and Fred Frey as Director of Franchise Recruitment in May 2024.
“The construction phase can often pose challenges for franchisees, especially those without extensive background in design and construction,” noted Keith Sizemore, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development at Shipley Do-Nuts. “Ryan and Korelle will serve as advocates for franchisees, leveraging their experience to ensure efficient buildouts and cost management.”
In a strategic move to attract more franchisees, Shipley Do-Nuts is diversifying its store locations, placing a greater emphasis on shopping centers and retail parks. This approach aims to reduce investment costs for franchisees while boosting average unit volumes.
Currently operating over 360 stores across 12 states, Shipley Do-Nuts has ambitious growth plans, aiming to nearly double its footprint by 2028. The company is actively seeking franchisees in East Coast states like Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with plans to expand into the US Midwest later this year.
