Nicholas Heavican, renowned for crafting one of New York City’s most coveted croissants, has unveiled a new chapter in his bakery’s growth with the opening of a third Nick and Sons location. Originally gaining fame for its signature caramel-colored croissants reminiscent of a gibbous moon, Nick and Sons Bakery first captured hearts in Williamsburg back in 2018, where lines routinely wound down the block.
Building on this success, Heavican ventured beyond Brooklyn, establishing a second outpost in Spring Lake, New Jersey, in 2021. Now, the anticipation surrounding Nick and Sons Bakery has reached a new high as Heavican expands his footprint to Greenpoint, specifically at 892 Lorimer Street, directly across from McCarren Park.
The new location promises an array of delights beyond its celebrated croissants. Patrons can indulge in a diverse selection of flavors including almond, za’atar, and everything seasoning croissants. Additionally, the menu features delectable cardamom buns, fruit tarts, and an assortment of freshly baked goods. In a nod to expanding culinary horizons, Nick and Sons Bakery will soon introduce margherita and soppressata pizzas by the end of the week.
Operating hours for the Greenpoint location are from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, inviting both loyal fans and curious newcomers to experience the essence of Nick and Sons Bakery’s artisanal offerings against the backdrop of McCarren Park’s vibrant surroundings.
