AMF Bakery Systems has been honored with the “Innovation for Growth” award at Bakery China 2024 for its APEX Mini Combo BDR Bread and Bun System by AMF Flex. The system, manufactured at AMF’s Tianjin facility in China, targets bakeries in emerging markets transitioning from manual to semi-automated production, according to the company.
Designed for simplicity in operation, waste reduction, and efficient product changeovers, the Mini Combo BDR System aims to enhance profitability and support new product development. Its recognition at this year’s Bakery China event, held from May 19-22 in Shanghai and featuring 2,200 exhibitors, underscores its significance in the industry.
Alongside the Mini Combo BDR System, AMF showcased a range of innovations including horizontal mixers, sheeting and laminating lines, extrusion dividers, advanced oven technologies, and slicing and bread bagging systems. AMF’s President and CEO, Jason Ward, highlighted the award’s importance in acknowledging a product with substantial growth potential.
