A vibrant addition to the Marketplace at Birdcage shopping center, Sweet Haven Bakery, also known as Hayvy Bayky, celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, June 15. Located adjacent to Patelco Credit Union, the family-owned bakery is adorned with colorful balloons marking the occasion.
Specializing in desserts crafted by 18-year-old Haven Claycomb, Sweet Haven Bakery quickly attracted a crowd during its grand opening, selling out of its sweet offerings. Claycomb, who has been baking since the age of 14, has garnered a reputation for his culinary skills, especially noted for his carrot cake cupcakes.
The bakery, featuring a bright pink countertop and two chalkboard menus, offers a unique 50’s-era seating arrangement with wing-backed chairs and a cozy loveseat. Despite not having an in-store baking facility, Claycomb manages custom orders and daily offerings from a separate “ghost” kitchen.
Sweet Haven Bakery’s menu boasts a variety of treats, including churro cookie sandwiches, sweet and salty brownies, Oreo brownies, pumpkin streusel muffins, and vegan options. Prices start at $7 per item, catering to both individual and custom orders for weddings and events.
“I just want to say the biggest thank you to everyone who came out to support me! I would have never been able to do this without all of you!” Claycomb expressed on Instagram following the successful opening.
Located at 6100 Birdcage Ln. in Citrus Heights, Sweet Haven Bakery operates from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., inviting dessert lovers to indulge in its creative confections.
