Hilliard welcomes Bears Bagels, the brainchild of partners Charis and Lo Yost, who turned their pandemic pastime into a thriving business venture. Situated at 4142 Main St., Bears Bagels officially opened its doors on June 7, 2024.
Established by the Yosts in 2022, Bears Bagels distinguishes itself with a meticulous bagel-making process: each bagel is rested for 24 hours, boiled, and then baked to perfection. The menu boasts a selection of eight bagel flavors, including classics like plain and everything, as well as unique offerings such as sesame, mixed berry, and pumpernickel. Complementing these are nine varieties of schmears, featuring options like plain, roasted veggie, garlic & chive, and chili crisp. Patrons can also look forward to monthly rotating specials.
While Bears Bagels primarily operates as a grab-and-go establishment with limited seating indoors, customers can also find their offerings at several coffee shops across Columbus, such as Coffee Connections, Florin Coffee, Jennings Java, and Bada Bean Bada Booze. Additionally, Bears Bagels participates in the Dublin Market on Saturdays at 6750 Longshore St., Dublin.
Operating hours are Tuesday through Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., ensuring ample opportunity for bagel enthusiasts to enjoy their offerings throughout the week.
