Paris Baguette, a popular South Korean bakery chain, has opened its first Minnesota location in Maple Grove this month.
Founded in 1986, the French-inspired bakery-café is renowned for its soft cream cakes, pastries, breads, and other baked goods.
The Maple Grove location officially opened its doors on June 3, with a grand opening celebration planned for Saturday, June 22.
“We’ve had great success so far,” said franchisee Brian Yi, a Maple Grove native now living in Champlin. “We’ve seen lines out the door, wrapping around the building.”
Yi noted that the strawberry croissant, lemonade refreshers, and other fruit-flavored treats have been particularly popular among customers.
For coffee enthusiasts, the café offers a variety of beverages, including iced caramel coconut lattes and salted caramel sweet cream cold brews, made with beans from Lavazza, a prestigious Italian coffee roaster established in 1895.
While no further Paris Baguette locations have been announced for Minnesota, the brand aims to open 1,000 bakery-cafés across the United States by 2030.
Currently, there are approximately 3,600 Paris Baguette locations in South Korea and over 4,000 worldwide.
