The Golden Food Bank is hosting a Pancake Breakfast in its garden to celebrate a decade of success with its Food Recovery program. The event, set for a fun, family-friendly morning, will honor the community heroes and businesses that have supported the initiative.
Guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast featuring pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee, all prepared and served by Golden Food Bank staff and volunteers. The meal is by donation, with suggested amounts of $10 for singles, $15 for couples, and $20 for families. There will also be games for children and a food recovery-themed birthday cake.
All funds raised will support the Food Recovery program and cover operating costs for 2024. Following the breakfast, the Food Bank’s Annual General Meeting will begin at noon. Attendees will review the past year, elect new Board Directors, and discuss a revised set of bylaws for approval by Special Resolution. Voting requires membership, with dues on a sliding scale from $0 to $10.
The event is open to all Golden and Area A residents, community partners, advocates, donors, and supporters. Those curious about the Food Bank’s operations are especially encouraged to attend.
RSVPing is encouraged to help manage food quantities effectively and minimize waste.
