Naples now has a taste of Rome with the opening of Bontà Bakery, an all-day eatery inspired by traditional Roman bakeries. Located on Fifth Avenue South, Bontà Bakery attracts visitors with a variety of sweet and savory treats.
Bontà, meaning “goodness” in Italian, provides an authentic Italian food and cultural experience. The bakery features floor-to-ceiling windows, light wood floors, and white accents, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The display includes pastries, desserts, breads, pizzas, and traditional sandwiches. Highlights include cannoli, tarts, profiteroles, sweet cornettos with various fillings, and bombolone. The menu also offers a range of coffees and soft drinks.
Pastry chef Marco Berardi leads the culinary team. “We are thrilled to introduce Bontà Bakery as the first of its kind in Naples that embodies Italian authenticity and timeless charm,” he said.
Bontà Bakery is located at the former site of Regina’s Ice Cream Pavilion, which closed last year. For those who miss the ice cream, Bontà offers a rotating selection of house-made gelati.
