LY Bakery, a renowned bakery chain, is adding a unique twist to the traditional rice dumplings typically enjoyed during the Dragon Boat Festival. This year, they’re introducing their innovative creation: rice dumpling Danishes.
These new pastries mimic the appearance of traditional rice dumplings, featuring a dark green layered exterior reminiscent of bamboo leaves, with a decorative ‘twine’ wrapping. However, the surprise comes when you break them open, revealing a filling of taro puree, salted egg yolk, and Taiwanese pork floss.
Originally crafted for a competition, LY Bakery’s fusion pastry has garnered recognition from judges and industry professionals alike. To celebrate this achievement, LY Bakery is launching these exclusive pastries at all four of their locations in San Po Kong, Kowloon Bay, Yuen Long, and Tsuen Wan until June 11th. It’s worth noting that these delectable Danishes are only available starting at noon, so early arrival is recommended for those eager to indulge in this innovative culinary creation.
