San Antonio is about to welcome a new spot for sweet Taiwanese treats.
Taiwan-based coffee chain 85°C Bakery Café will open its first San Antonio location on June 28, according to the company’s website. The store will be located at 12710 W I-10, near Camp Bullis.
The chain is renowned for its coffee brewed with Guatemalan beans at 85 degrees Celsius, or 185 degrees Fahrenheit, which the founders believe is the perfect brewing temperature for espresso.
Each 85°C location offers more than 50 varieties of pastries baked in-house. These include common items like Danish pastries and milk breads, as well as Taiwanese specialties such as red bean bread, taro puff pastry, and ube bread.
85°C already operates two stores in the Austin area and several others near Dallas and Irving. The chain also has locations in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, and Arizona.
