Fife’s renowned bakery, Fisher and Donaldson, has clinched the prestigious title of Bakery Cafe of the Year. Celebrated for their signature fudge doughnut, the beloved bakery secured this accolade at the esteemed Scottish Baker of the Year awards ceremony.
The Bread Guy, based in Aberdeen, claimed the ultimate prize during the ceremony held last Saturday, while numerous bakeries from across the region received notable recognitions.
Bayne’s the Family Bakers, originating from Lochore, Fife, was honored with the title of Retail Craft Baker of the Year. Additionally, Goodfellow and Steven, located in Broughty Ferry, were commended for their butteries, with Bayne’s also receiving recognition for crafting the best morning roll in the country.
Adding to the list of winners, Rabbit Hole Cakes in Perth earned gold for their free-from-salted caramel millionaire brownies. Expressing their joy at the win, Fisher and Donaldson remarked, “We were in brilliant company with the other finalists, so to have come away with the coveted silver rolling pin was a big surprise. It is massive recognition for our whole team who work incredibly hard to make top quality products and provide excellent customer service day in and day out.”
Notably, Fisher and Donaldson were also honored with the Customer’s Choice award in the same category.
