Toronto’s beloved bakery scene is about to get even sweeter as Delysees, renowned for its exquisite macarons and delightful pastries, unveils plans for a new location within the city.
Established in 2013, Delysees has had its share of triumphs and challenges during its eleven-year journey in Toronto. Despite temporarily closing its original location five years into operation, the bakery persevered through the uncertainties of the pandemic by transitioning to a wholesale approach, distributing its delectable macarons and tarts to upscale retailers such as McEwan.
In a welcome turn of events, Delysees returned to the forefront by inaugurating a new physical store on Ossington Street in late 2021, captivating customers with its array of confections.
In December 2023, the bakery further expanded its presence with a charming pop-up at Yorkdale Mall, which continues to thrive to this day.
Delysees has earned citywide acclaim for its diverse range of French pastries, crafting everything from macarons and artisanal eclairs to cheesecakes and dessert brioches.
Excitement mounts as Delysees announces its forthcoming permanent location within the mall, situated in close proximity to its current pop-up spot. Although the precise opening date remains unconfirmed, Delysees anticipates welcoming patrons by the end of the summer season, if not sooner.
In the interim, patrons can indulge in post-shopping delights at the ground-level pop-up in the mall or visit the flagship brick-and-mortar store located at 131 Ossington Street.
