Augusta, Georgia – Dolce Darlin Bakery, housed in the iconic pink building on Telfair Street, is preparing to pass the torch to a new owner.
Despite bidding adieu to their current location, Dolce Darlin Bakery reassures patrons that they won’t be exiting the sweet treat scene entirely.
In an interview with the owner, Cat Musgrove, we gained insights into the future trajectory of the business.
Dolce Darlin is poised to embark on a new journey. “We’ve operated this space as a bakery, an event venue, a sanctuary for people to unwind, bond, and enjoy for four years. Now, as we approach the four-year mark, it’s time for us to embrace the next chapter in our lives,” shared Musgrove.
The establishment is reminiscing about the cherished moments. “We’ve forged genuine connections here. Meaningful friendships have blossomed, fueled by the bond between our food, this historic house, and our family,” reflected Musgrove.
Additionally, they are contemplating the path that led them to this juncture. “When life throws everything into disarray, and you find yourself trying to piece together a shattered existence, you come to terms with the fact that the fragments will never fit as they once did. That’s when you must seek out a new puzzle to assemble. For us, that puzzle was the pink house,” Musgrove explained.
However, the legacy of Dolce Darlin is far from reaching its conclusion. “We’re planning to take a breather, recharge, and prioritize self-care. Then, we’ll delve into our next venture because Dolce Darlin isn’t fading into obscurity,” assured Musgrove.
As patrons continue to flock to the bakery, Musgrove expresses gratitude. “We’re deeply touched by the support and love from the community. Words or figures can’t adequately express our appreciation,” she remarked.
Their final day of serving delectable treats from the pink house is scheduled for Saturday. A farewell celebration is slated for May 18, inviting patrons to bid adieu to this beloved establishment.
