BOONE, Iowa — Since its establishment in 1983, Van Hermert’s Dutch Oven Bakery has remained a cherished destination in Boone for delectable pastries.
Terri Van Hermert, the proud Owner of Van Hermert’s Dutch Oven Bakery, expressed her joy in serving the community through her bakery.
“In the past, every neighborhood had a bakery, but such traditions are rare nowadays. We feel fortunate to carry on that legacy,” Van Hermert shared.
While the glazed donuts stand out as best sellers, Van Hermert emphasized that their offerings extend beyond just donuts.
“While glazed donuts fly off the shelves, we also boast a diverse selection of rolls, pastries, homemade breads, and Dutch letters, especially sought after during tulip time. Everyone has their favorites,” Van Hermert added.
Van Hermert’s Dutch Oven Bakery welcomes patrons from Tuesday to Friday, operating from 5 am to 5:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 5 am to 5 pm.
