After the closure of Hendersonville’s beloved Krispy Kreme outlet in September 2022, locals have been eagerly awaiting news of its return. Recently, on March 26, an unexpected announcement brought hope to doughnut enthusiasts across the town.
In a surprising move, McDonald’s revealed a nationwide collaboration with Krispy Kreme, promising to serve their iconic doughnuts hot and fresh at McDonald’s locations across the country. Josh Charlesworth, President and CEO of Krispy Kreme, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the opportunity it presents for doughnut lovers to enjoy their favorite treats with unprecedented ease.
While the specific dates for the availability of Krispy Kreme doughnuts at Henderson County McDonald’s outlets remain undisclosed, the initiative has already kicked off in Kentucky. According to McDonald’s official statement, a phased rollout is planned nationwide, with full availability expected by the end of 2026.
The C. Edwards Group, which operates five McDonald’s locations in Henderson County, has remained tight-lipped about the development despite attempts to reach them for comment.
As for the doughnuts themselves, McDonald’s will offer three of Krispy Kreme’s most popular varieties: the Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled.
