A new bakery from Lakeway is set to make its debut closer to Austin’s city center later this year. Love & Cookies is scheduled to open its doors at 1701 South Lamar Boulevard in late March 2024. The establishment, owned and operated by baker Ashley Cameron, will feature a diverse menu of cookies, including the signature Ashley, a chocolate chip cookie; the Whitney, an oatmeal-raisin-spiced cookie; and the Susie, a cranberry-vanilla-pecan cookie. In addition to traditional offerings, gluten-free options will be available, along with brownies, cinnamon rolls, deep-dish cookie cakes, coffee, and ice cream. The inclusion of ice cream aligns with the bakery’s location, as it occupies the former space of dairy-free ice cream shop NadaMoo and, prior to that, Venezia Italian Gelato.
Cameron initially launched her original bakery in Lakeway at 1200 Lakeway Drive, Suite 3, in October 2021. Prior to this venture, she had been selling homemade baked goods using family recipes. Cameron gained recognition after winning H-E-B’s Quest for Texas competition in March 2023, which paved the way for her frozen cookie doughs to be sold in markets.
Upon the opening of Love & Cookies’s second location, operating hours will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
