Mechanicsburg-based Duck Donuts has unveiled plans to open multiple locations in the Philippines, marking a significant stride in the company’s international expansion efforts.
The announcement follows the recent agreement between Duck Donuts and Bravo Foods Corp, their newest franchise partner in the Philippines. Under this agreement, Duck Donuts is set to establish 25 locations throughout the country over the next six years.
Betsy Hamm, CEO of Duck Donuts, expressed confidence in the brand’s reception within the Filipino community, stating, “We believe that the warmth and uniqueness of Duck Donuts will resonate with the Filipino community. We are excited to embark on this journey of sweet success in partnership with Bert Bravo and leverage his knowledge of the market and industry as we begin to introduce Duck Donuts throughout the country of the Philippines.”
Bravo Foods Corp, led by CEO Edilberto “Bert” Bravo, brings extensive experience in the food, hospitality, and franchising sectors. “Bravo Food Corp has vast experience in the food, hospitality and franchising industry, as we have owned several restaurants and have been a proud a master franchise partner with ServiceMaster for 28 years,” said Bert Bravo. He expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “I saw the potential of Duck Donuts when I first heard about it from my colleagues in California. We are excited to bring the unique, customizable donuts to our country.”
The first Duck Donuts location in the Philippines is anticipated to open its doors in the second quarter of 2024, with the city of Makati selected as the inaugural site.
