Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts to McDonald’s customers to celebrate the first phase of its expansion into McDonald’s locations. Two Louisiana Krispy Kreme stores in Baton Rouge and Metairie will be participating in the promotion.
The partnership between Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s was first announced in March 2024. With this expansion, Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be available in 1,000 McDonald’s restaurants by the end of 2024 and 12,000 McDonald’s restaurants by the end of 2026.
With the first McDonald’s restaurants to offer Krispy Kreme items on their menus, South Louisiana restaurants could be next. McDonald’s in Acadiana is expected to join the fold sometime next spring.
Three of Krispy Kreme’s most popular doughnuts will be delivered fresh daily to McDonald’s restaurants and available all day while supplies last. The three donuts on the menu are the signature original glazed donut, the chocolate frosted donut and the chocolate frosted donut.
Louisiana Krispy Kreme restaurants are located at 5504 Plank Rd. in Baton Rouge and 825 Clearview Pkwy. in Metairie.
