Tim Hortons, the beloved northern coffee and donut shop, is seeking franchisees and stores for its Maryland expansion.
Get ready for a (very delicious) Canadian invasion, Maryland! Tim Hortons, the beloved northern coffee and donut shop, is seeking franchisees and stores for its Maryland expansion, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The chain plans to open 10 new stores in Howard and Carroll counties as its Maryland debut. While the brand has not yet selected any franchisees or specific locations, Tim Hortons plans to open its first area store sometime next year.
Hyatt Commercial is assisting Tim Hortons in its search for the ideal location. The company provided the following insight on the ideal location for a Tim Hortons store: “Tim Hortons is seeking quality retail locations in the region, ideally freestanding buildings with drive-thru access or high-traffic end-cap spaces. Each location will follow the brand’s standard 1,600 square foot layout with an indoor dining area.”
The Canadian coffee giant sees the Old Line State as an up-and-coming community that is receptive and hungry for a great cup of coffee. Senior Real Estate Manager Kyle Corman explained, “Our expansion in Maryland reflects our commitment to growing our business in markets where customers are seeking quality coffee, convenient drive-thru pickup, and a welcoming, comfortable dining environment.”
