Some desserts are simply classics. Chocolate layer cake with chocolate frosting? A birthday classic. Apple pie in the fall? Another classic. Banana splits at the ice cream parlor? A summer classic.
And cheesecake? It’s the king of classic desserts and it never gets old. And you know what else is timeless? Donuts. Krispy Kreme‘s newest line caters to both cheesecake lovers and donut lovers, and the mashup sounds like a match made in dessert heaven.
We (correctly) thought Krispy Kreme’s newest line would disappear from bakery shelves the Sunday after Easter. The bunny-themed donuts were on shelves for two weeks, but now they’re gone to make way for the new Craving cheesecake line.
Starting April 22, Krispy Kreme is introducing three new donuts that are tempting us with their decadent cheesecake-inspired flavors.
Craving Cheesecake Collection Features:
Strawberry Dream Cheesecake Donut: An unglazed donut filled with cheesecake-flavored buttercream, dipped in strawberry-flavored frosting and berry-flavored graham crackers, and topped with white frosting.
Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Donut: An unglazed donut filled with cookies and cream cheesecake-flavored filling, dipped in white frosting, half dipped in chocolate cookie crumbs, and dusted with powdered sugar.
Caramel Cheesecake Donut: A cinnamon sugar donut topped with cheesecake-flavored buttercream, salted caramel-flavored graham crackers, and caramel-flavored frosting.
Do these sound amazing?! These are all donuts that Krispy Kreme has never had before, but we wouldn’t be surprised if one or more of them become a rotating variety in a future limited-time collection.
The new donuts will be available in stores as singles or in packs of a dozen, and will also be available for pickup or delivery through the Krispy Kreme app and website. If you don’t have a Krispy Kreme store near you, the Craving cheesecake collection will also be sold in six-packs at select retailers.
Like all Krispy Kreme collections, this doughnut will be available for a limited time, which we don’t know yet. So if you want to eat these cheesecake-flavored doughnuts, you’d better head to a Krispy Kreme near you as soon as possible.
