“I’m a Donut?” is a popular specialty store that serves fresh donuts filled with lots of fresh custard. The Ikebukuro store is the sixth store in Japan after the Omotesando store, and a total of 15 items will be released, including limited new items. The series includes fresh donuts made with familiar brioche dough, as well as a variety of other foods that offer unexpected combinations of ingredients.
This time, a total of four new items are available only in Ikebukuro. For example, “Milk Chocolate Cream” is a dessert with a chocolate donut as the base, filled with chocolate cream made with homemade custard, and topped with condensed milk.
Other new items include “Music Pistachio”, a French donut made with fresh donut dough and coated with white chocolate and pistachio paste; “Matcha Roasted White Chocolate” where you can enjoy a combination of matcha and white chocolate; and a delicious donut called “Roasted Tomato Minced Meat Curry”.
In addition to the popular “I’m a Donut?”, the store has many other menus, including chocolate, matcha, chocolate berries, and crunchy nuts. It is an order system, so just fill in the number of donuts you want to buy, and you will get the donuts you are interested in.
The store is based on the concept of “seamless” to create a space where you can feel a sense of unity throughout the entire floor. One of the highlights is that you can see the process of making donuts, which you don’t usually see. The final touches such as squeezing cream and adding chocolate are all done on the first floor, so you can enjoy the time waiting for the donuts to be completed.
