Domino’s to Build Giant Doughnut in Queensland to Celebrate Return

by Celia

Domino’s is adding to Australia’s collection of “Big Things” with a new giant landmark. The company has announced plans to build a massive five-meter Giant Doughnut statue in Moranbah, Queensland.

This new attraction celebrates the return of Domino’s Giant Doughnuts to its menu nationwide. Last year, Australians devoured an impressive 32 tonnes of these 16cm doughnuts in just seven days during a limited-time release. For perspective, that’s more than the weight of the Big Prawn or nearly as much as a whale shark. (A suggestion for the Big Things committee: perhaps consider a Big Whale Shark.)
