Krispy Kreme is making its debut in Brazil with the opening of its first store in São Paulo’s Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek neighborhood. The popular doughnut chain is expanding into the Brazilian market through a minority interest joint venture with Ipiranga’s AmPm, which was announced in February 2024. The partnership will bring Krispy Kreme’s famous Original Glazed doughnuts to Brazilian customers by late April.
Raphael Duvivier, president of Krispy Kreme International, expressed excitement about the expansion: “We are thrilled to bring Krispy Kreme’s iconic, fresh-made doughnuts to Brazil as part of our strategy to grow the brand. Our beloved doughnuts are known worldwide, and now Brazilians will get to enjoy the high-quality and delicious flavors that Krispy Kreme is known for.”
Duvivier also emphasized that the collaboration with AmPm is a crucial part of Krispy Kreme’s international growth strategy. “By leveraging AmPm’s extensive convenience store network, we can efficiently expand our footprint in Brazil, focusing on sustainable and profitable growth,” he said.
