INDIANAPOLIS — A local donut shop became the backdrop for some star-studded filming on Tuesday.
Long’s Bakery, a well-known donut shop on Indianapolis’ west side, shared on Instagram that David Letterman, the iconic talk show host and Indianapolis native, made a stop there with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. The two were filming a segment for Letterman’s Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.
The series features high-profile guests, handpicked by Letterman himself, including celebrities like Charles Barkley, Kevin Durant, Miley Cyrus, George Clooney, and former President Barack Obama.
On Monday night, Letterman also interviewed Clark in front of a sold-out crowd at Ball State University in Muncie, where he attended college. The event, which required attendees to lock their phones in anti-recording pouches, was another highlight for the episode. Both the Ball State talk and the Long’s Bakery visit will be part of the upcoming episode, which typically combines in-studio interviews with on-location filming. The episode’s release date has not yet been revealed.
