Lickin’ Good Donuts, a family-owned doughnut chain based in southwest Alabama, is looking to expand into Pensacola with its fourth location. The new shop would be located at the corner of Montgomery Avenue and West Michigan Avenue, next to Dollar General.
The company filed a development proposal with Escambia County on Monday to build a 3,000-square-foot building at the site. The new location will include a doughnut shop and a leasable space for a retail store. If approved, the new shop will feature a drive-thru and 22 parking spaces.
Lickin’ Good Donuts first entered the Pensacola area three years ago under local owner Sothavuth Ing with a shop in Pace. Since then, the company has expanded to Bellview and Ensley. The business offers a wide range of homemade doughnuts, pastries, breakfast items, and beverages.
The proposed Bellview location, which will be the company’s second in the area, aims to serve the local community with easy access from both Montgomery Avenue and West Michigan Avenue. The development plans include two entry points and a divided space, with one half occupied by Lickin’ Good Donuts and the other available for retail tenants.
No date has been set for the review of the project by the county’s Development Review Committee.
Currently, Lickin’ Good Donuts operates three locations across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The shops can be found in the following areas:
Bellview: 6675 Pine Forest Road
Ensley: 8645 Pensacola Blvd.
Pace: 4536 Watkins St.
