Krispy Kreme is getting into the holiday spirit, and even the Grinch is joining the fun.
On Monday, the doughnut chain unveiled its festive holiday collection, which includes new treats inspired by the Grinch and the return of a beloved favorite.
“Our Merry Grinchmas doughnuts are sure to bring a smile to even the most Grinchy of faces,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, in a statement to Food & Wine. “At Krispy Kreme, you’re a sweet one, Mr. Grinch!” Starting Friday, November 29, fans can enjoy the new “Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection” at participating Krispy Kreme locations.
The collection includes the Grinch Doughnut, featuring an unglazed doughnut filled with a Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in Grinch-green icing, and decorated with chocolate frosting to create the character’s face with a mischievous grin and buttercream hair.
Another new treat is the Grinchy Claus Doughnut, an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with white buttercream, Christmas-colored sprinkles, and an edible Grinch figurine. The Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Doughnut is also new, made with an Original Glazed doughnut, dipped in strawberry-flavored icing, and decorated with a green buttercream tree, sprinkles, and a gold star.
Returning this holiday season is the popular Santa Belly Doughnut, an unglazed doughnut filled with white Kreme, dipped in red icing, and finished with a chocolate Santa belt and belt buckle. For a more classic option, fans can try the Holiday Sprinkle Doughnut, an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with festive sprinkles.
Krispy Kreme will offer these holiday treats in shops for a limited time, as well as a six-pack featuring the Grinch Doughnut, Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Doughnut, Santa Belly Doughnut, and Holiday Sprinkle Doughnut at select grocery stores.
In addition to the new doughnuts, Krispy Kreme will host its annual “Day of the Dozens” on December 12, offering customers a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $1 when they purchase any other dozen at regular price. It’s the perfect opportunity to grab a sweet holiday breakfast for family or friends.
