Duck Donuts, based in Mechanicsburg, has opened its first store in the Bahamas. The new location, owned by Mercianna Moxey, is situated on Prince Charles Drive in Nassau. The store, which opened on November 19, is the first of three planned for the island nation.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Duck Donuts family and to expand in the Caribbean,” Moxey said in a statement. “The local support we’ve received has been incredible, and we’re excited for more growth in popular tourist areas, where we look forward to serving smiles and fresh, delicious donuts across the island.”
The Nassau location spans 1,400 square feet and is part of Duck Donuts’ ongoing international expansion. The company already has locations in Thailand, Canada, Qatar, Curaçao, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Egypt.
In addition to its signature donuts, the Bahamian store offers coffee, espresso, milkshakes, frozen beverages, breakfast sandwiches, donut sundaes, and a selection of retail items.
Duck Donuts opened its first stores in 2007 in Duck and Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The company, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, began franchising in 2013.
