Krispy Kreme Offers Free Doughnuts for Election Day.
Krispy Kreme is celebrating Election Day with a sweet offer for voters. On Tuesday, November 5, the popular doughnut chain will give away one free Original Glazed Doughnut to guests at participating stores across the United States, regardless of their voting choice between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. No purchase is necessary to claim the treat.
In addition to the free doughnut, Krispy Kreme will provide “I voted” stickers at their locations while supplies last. This offer is available even to those who voted early but wish to showcase a fresh sticker along with their doughnut. Guests are limited to one sticker each.
Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, emphasized the importance of participating in democracy. “Participating in our democracy should be celebrated! So, we’re happy to sweeten everyone’s day with free Original Glazed doughnuts on Election Day,” he stated.
Voters across 47 states, along with the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, can vote early and in person, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Some states, like Alabama, Mississippi, and New Hampshire, do not offer early in-person voting but may have options for absentee ballots.
This initiative is part of Krispy Kreme’s ongoing tradition of political giveaways. In March, the chain celebrated Super Tuesday by offering two free Original Glazed doughnuts to customers without any purchase requirement.
For those eager for treats before Election Day, Krispy Kreme is also giving away a free Original Glazed doughnut on Halloween, October 31, to costumed customers, again with no purchase necessary.
In addition to Krispy Kreme, other fast food chains are also offering special Halloween deals. Baskin-Robbins will give trick-or-treaters 31% off ice cream scoops ordered through their app. Meanwhile, Burger King has launched a new Addams Family menu running through November 10, and Chipotle is offering a $6 “Boorito” deal. Many other restaurants, including Pizza Hut, Raising Cane’s, Sonic, and Wendy’s, will have similar promotions while supplies last.
