AUSTIN, Texas — Firefighters swiftly responded to a blaze at a South Austin doughnut shop late Sunday night, extinguishing the flames before they could spread to nearby businesses.
The fire broke out around 10:45 p.m. at KC Donuts, located in a shopping center on Brodie Lane near Eskew Drive. According to fire officials, the incident was triggered by a deep fryer left on after closing.
Thanks to quick action by the Austin Fire Department, the fire was contained within the shop, preventing any damage to neighboring establishments.
