Dunkin’ Donuts to Open New Location in Wilmington with Grand Giveaway.
WILMINGTON — Dunkin’ Donuts is set to open its newest location on Tuesday, October 29, at 3500 S. College Rd., the site of a former bank. To celebrate the grand opening, the popular coffee and donut shop will give the first 100 customers free coffee for a year, valid with in-store purchases. The shop will open at 5 a.m.
The festivities will include giveaways, face painting, and a live DJ. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m., during which franchise owner George Ross will present a $5,000 check to Special Olympics of North Carolina, representing the Coastal Franchising network.
The new 1,600 square-foot restaurant will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., accommodating 20 customers and employing 35 crew members. It will offer complimentary Wi-Fi and feature Dunkin’s signature cold beverages through an innovative tap system.
This “Next Gen” Dunkin’ location incorporates sustainable and efficient design elements, such as LED lighting, high-efficiency equipment, and low-flow faucets. The DD Green Achievement restaurants are 33% more energy-efficient and include a designated area for mobile order pickups for guests who place call-ahead orders.
Coastal Franchising LLC operates 128 Dunkin’ locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
