A rapidly growing mochi donut brand is set to open its first downtown Toronto location this week. Marry Me Mochi is celebrated for its light and fluffy mochi donuts, which come in unique, rotating flavors such as strawberry cheesecake, lemon pound cake, banana milk, dulce de leche, and maple pecan. The brand is also known for its visually appealing cafe interiors and staff members, dubbed “mochi angels,” who wear life-sized angel wings.
Marry Me Mochi has been expanding across Ontario, with existing locations at Square One and Stockyards malls. The new shop will be located in Kensington Market, specifically within La Mooriyya Markette, a multi-vendor space. The company has been sharing updates on the construction progress through social media videos.
To celebrate the grand opening on October 19, Marry Me Mochi is planning several giveaways. One lucky customer will win an iPhone simply for attending the event. The first ten customers in line will receive a free box of six mochi donuts. The next thirty will get a complimentary Dubai chocolate bar, while the following fifty will enjoy free ube and matcha soft serve. For those who miss out on these early perks, everything in the store will be offered at a 50% discount throughout the day.
The new Marry Me Mochi location can be found at 210 Augusta Ave. in Kensington Market.
