Fans of the seasonal treat will have just one weekend to indulge—from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22.
Pumpkin spice has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a pumpkin pie-inspired flavor at Starbucks over 20 years ago. Today, it’s one of the most popular seasonal flavors, available in a wide range of products that extend beyond coffee. Yet, Krispy Kreme seems to be aiming to make the flavor feel special again by offering their pumpkin spice donuts for only a limited time.
According to a company press release, this three-day offering is timed to coincide with the official start of fall. The pumpkin spice version of Krispy Kreme’s original glazed donuts will be available for purchase individually or by the dozen. Customers can enjoy them in-store or order through the Krispy Kreme app or online. The company promises each donut “brings just the right amount of pumpkin spice flavor in every melt-in-your-mouth bite.”
Krispy Kreme Offers Additional Pumpkin Spice Treats for Fall
While the Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed donuts are available for only one weekend, Krispy Kreme has other pumpkin spice treats that will stick around a bit longer. Since August, the chain has been offering pumpkin spice cake donuts and pumpkin spice lattes, both of which are still on the menu this month. Additionally, pumpkin spice coffee is available, which features a pumpkin spice sauce added to the shop’s regular coffee, available in both hot and iced varieties.
For those without a nearby Krispy Kreme location, there’s still a chance to enjoy the flavor. The pumpkin spice cake donuts can be found in select stores through partnerships with retailers like Walmart and Kroger.
