New US Doughnut Chain Set to Open in Northern Ireland.
A popular doughnut chain from the United States is planning to open its first location in Northern Ireland. Duck Donuts, based in Pennsylvania, has submitted plans to establish a new restaurant at a portion of the former Bank of Ireland building on Ormeau Road, South Belfast.
Duck Donuts was founded in 2007 by Russ DiGilio in North Carolina. Since then, the brand has expanded to over 100 locations across the United States. It also operates internationally, with outlets in Egypt, Canada, and the Philippines.
The chain is known for its diverse range of doughnuts, including seasonal varieties and unique flavors such as Bacon in the Sun, Blueberry Lemonade, and Beach Ball.
According to recent plans, Duck Donuts will occupy Unit Two of the former Bank of Ireland site on Ormeau Road.
