Sedonuts Donut and Coffee Shop Expands Amid Rising Popularity.
SEDONA, Ariz., Sept. 13, 2024 — In the early hours of the morning in Sedona, Arizona, the town is mostly quiet, except for one bustling spot: Sedonuts Donut and Coffee Shop, where some of the best donuts in North America are being made.
Located in a small shopping center on Old Highway 89A, Sedonuts draws early risers who line up to get their hands on the shop’s famous oversized, sweet donuts.
Sedonuts, a family-owned business, was created by Paul and Lynette Gilkey. The couple launched the shop three years ago in west Sedona, and it has since become known as one of the top donut and coffee experiences in North America. According to the YELP Travel Guide, Sedonuts ranks among the Top 40 Donut Shops in the U.S. and Canada.
Riding on this success, the Gilkeys recently opened a second Sedonuts location in Cottonwood, Arizona, and have plans to bring their brand to more cities in the near future.
Paul Gilkey shared what sets Sedonuts apart: “We are not a chain. This is a family-run operation, and we’re passionate about what we do. We personally select our people, ingredients, and products to ensure they’re the best. Our donuts have gained a worldwide following among travelers, and our coffee is so loved that we sell it in-store under our own brand. We take pride in getting the small details right and strive to create a welcoming, customer-first experience at every Sedonuts store.”
With the success of their original Sedona shop, the Gilkeys are now looking to expand. Their second shop in Cottonwood is now open, and additional locations are planned for 2025 in Old Town Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Tempe, Flagstaff, and Prescott, Arizona.
