CHEYENNE — Wyoming residents can now enjoy Dunkin’s famous donuts and coffee without leaving the state or relying on military connections, as the first Dunkin’ franchise open to the public debuted in Cheyenne on Monday.
The new Dunkin’ location, situated at the Horse Palace Swan Ranch, marks a milestone for the state. Prior to this, the only Dunkin’ in Wyoming was located at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, accessible only to military personnel and their guests.
The Dunkin’ store, which occupies 350 square feet, is part of the 30,000-square-foot Horse Palace Swan Ranch, a gaming and entertainment center that opened earlier this summer.
Bringing Dunkin’ to Wyoming
Stephen Gibson, director of marketing for Wyoming Horse Racing LLC—the company behind Horse Palace—explained the motivation behind bringing Dunkin’ to Cheyenne. “We wanted to offer something well-known and convenient for the local community,” Gibson said. The idea was to fill a gap in the area’s café and sandwich shop offerings.
“We asked ourselves, ‘What doesn’t Cheyenne have that people would love?’” Gibson added. Dunkin’ stood out as a unique brand that could also drive more visitors to the Horse Palace.
The target audience for Horse Palace is largely Colorado residents, and the addition of Dunkin’ aims to enhance the experience for those visitors.
The Dunkin’ franchise will create 10 new jobs and is owned and operated by Wyoming Horse Racing LLC.
A Multi-Attraction Venue
Horse Palace, which requires patrons to be at least 21 years old, offers more than just donuts. It features gambling machines, off-track betting on horse and greyhound races, a steakhouse, and live music.
Dunkin’ Details
The new Dunkin’ will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to its signature donuts, the menu includes hot and cold coffee, iced teas, cold-brew coffee, and nitro-infused cold brew.
Dunkin’ is also committed to sustainability, using energy-efficient LED lighting, high-efficiency equipment, and water-saving faucets. Customers can place orders ahead of time using the Dunkin’ app.
