West Burlington Police Partner with Dunkin’ Donuts to Support Special Olympics.
WEST BURLINGTON — The Burlington and West Burlington police departments are joining forces with Dunkin’ Donuts to raise funds for Special Olympics Iowa.
For nine consecutive years, Dunkin’ has collaborated with local law enforcement agencies to support Special Olympics Iowa through the “Dunkin’ Cop on a Rooftop” fundraising event.
This year’s event will take place from 6 a.m. to noon on Friday at the Dunkin’ located at 1108 W. Agency Road in West Burlington.
According to a release from Special Olympics Iowa, Dunkin’ customers who make a donation will receive a coupon for a free donut.
Those who donate $10 or more will be given a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee. Donors contributing $20 or more will receive a Special Olympics Iowa tumbler, subject to availability while supplies last.
In 2023, the Burlington and West Burlington police departments raised the second-highest amount in Iowa for the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics Iowa.
Over the past eight years, the event has raised more than $211,000 for Special Olympics Iowa.
