New Donut Shop Opens in Grand Blanc, Drawing Sweet Tooth Enthusiasts.
Grand Blanc, Mich. (WNEM) – Sweet tooth lovers have a new destination in Grand Blanc. Parlor Doughnuts, located on Saginaw Street, has quickly become a popular spot for those craving delicious donuts.
“They’re literally the best donuts I’ve ever had,” said Kosta Popoff, Owner and Operator of Parlor Doughnuts.
Parlor Doughnuts is a franchise that originated in Evansville, Indiana. Popoff discovered the chain while visiting a donut shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and was impressed by its offerings. “The response has been overwhelming,” he noted.
Amber Nammour, also an Owner and Operator, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the community. “Our staff has been great, and the support from not just Grand Blanc but also surrounding areas has been amazing,” she said.
The shop prides itself on offering unique options beyond standard donuts. “Our layered donut is not your typical donut. We also provide keto, vegan, and gluten-friendly options, along with our paw-lor donuts for dogs,” Nammour added.
A strong emphasis on community involvement has been a priority for Popoff and Nammour. They have created around 35 to 40 jobs for local students from Grand Blanc community schools. “These kids are doing a phenomenal job getting donuts out and making donuts,” said Popoff.
Since opening just a week ago, the shop has seen a constant stream of customers. “The response has been overwhelming,” Popoff reiterated. “Our staff has been great, and the community has been fantastic.”
Visitors from across Genesee County have flocked to the shop. Jaylin Parker from Flint shared his experience, saying, “I got a pistachio raspberry and a coconut-cream filled donut. Ten out of 10, easy.”
The shop is also attracting customers from further away. “This is my first time here,” said Dick Baumgartner, who was visiting family from Florida. “I got one of everything.”
With its diverse offerings and strong community ties, Parlor Doughnuts is quickly establishing itself as a must-visit destination in Grand Blanc.
