Craving donuts! A popular donut chain in Connecticut with multiple locations across the state has suddenly announced that it is closing its doors without any explanation or announcement.
Donut Crazy has always been a popular brand that is loved by locals. Locations have been popping up all over Connecticut, but it seems that some locations have started to close recently. Donut Crazy is known for its unique donuts that are carefully made daily. Their flavors range from cannoli, Nutella, monster, black hawk, maple bacon, French toast, birthday cake, oatmeal, and more, as well as some basic flavors. They regularly share their delicious donuts in progress.
Interestingly, they suddenly closed all of their locations recently without any notice. The current Donut Crazy locations across Connecticut are as follows:
993 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford
785 River Road, Shelton
1 Ferry Lane, Westport
3690 Main Street, Stratford
290 York Street, New Haven
All of their locations seem to have closed abruptly, with no word on whether they will reopen. Some have signs saying “Sorry, Sold Out,” and some don’t even answer the phone. We called the locations, but no one answered, and one number didn’t work at all.
After CT Scoop announced the closure of Donut Crazy on Facebook, many people shared their experiences. While not many people had particularly positive reviews, some said they loved the donuts and would miss them. Many people said the donuts were expensive and that there were better options in Virginia, such as Neil’s Donuts in Wallingford.
I wonder if they will reopen or if they will remain closed. If they remain closed, I guess they will make some announcement? Either way, I will be sure to update.
