Nongshim’s snack ‘Banana Kick’ is transformed into a donut in the US.
Nongshim has partnered with dessert cafe ‘Knotted’ to launch its signature menu ‘Banana Cream Donut’ at Knotted’s first overseas branch in Westfield, Los Angeles.
The product features rich cream that perfectly captures the unique smooth and sweet taste and aroma of Banana Kick, and is topped with Banana Kick snacks. Nongshim and Knotted plan to launch ‘Banana Kick Cream Latte’ in the future to further increase local consumers’ interest in Banana Kick.
Recently, Nongshim’s Banana Kick has been widely praised as the snack of choice for famous Korean celebrities, gaining attention around the world. Nongshim plans to increase its brand awareness in the US by launching various menus in collaboration with Knotted, including the recently launched Melon Kick.
A Nongshim official said, “As a store that symbolizes the first overseas store, Banana Kick has attracted a lot of attention as its signature dish,” and “We will actively carry out marketing to ensure that the Kick series, including Banana Kick, can grow into a global snack brand.” In addition, encouraged by the recent popularity of Banana Kick, Nongshim plans to launch a new product in the Kick series, “Melon Kick,” on the 21st, the 50th anniversary of Banana Kick’s launch, and begin to expand exports to the U.S., Japan, and China markets.
