San Francisco’s beloved 24-hour doughnut shop, Bob’s Donuts, is set to open its new location just a block away from the original store. The new shop, located at 1720 Polk Street, will hold a soft opening on Friday, February 21. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature artwork from local community members, free donuts to sample, and tote bag giveaways for the first 80 customers.
Bob’s Donuts, a fixture in the city since the 1960s, has long been a late-night favorite for both locals and tourists. After a lease disagreement last summer, the shop announced the move to its new location, which is less than 300 feet from its original site. Although the grand opening date and operating hours are yet to be confirmed, there is speculation that the new shop may once again operate 24 hours.
