Dutch Door Donuts, a popular Carmel-based doughnut shop, is opening its second location in Healdsburg at 109A Plaza St., previously home to Burdock. The new spot has been given a bright orange makeover to mark the arrival of the artisan doughnut shop.
Dutch Door Donuts specializes in made-to-order doughnuts with unique seasonal flavors, including passion fruit and hibiscus, miso caramel, salted brown butter, and almond sesame cinnamon. Classic options like vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon are also available for those seeking traditional flavors.
Co-owner and chef Tucker Bunch, who previously founded a fresh beignet chain in Houston and served as an instructor at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, is excited to bring Dutch Door’s gourmet doughnuts to Healdsburg. He believes the town is a perfect fit for his artisan creations.
