Voodoo Doughnut, a popular doughnut chain from the West Coast, will open its first Seattle location on Tuesday morning. The new shop will be located at 1201 Pine Street in Capitol Hill and will open at 8 a.m.
Based in Portland, Voodoo Doughnut has expanded to several states, including Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Tennessee, Arizona, California, and Florida. Although this is the first Voodoo Doughnut in Seattle, the state already has a location in Vancouver.
To mark the opening, 20% of the day’s sales will go to FareStart, a nonprofit that helps local community members through food and job training and provides meals to Seattle-area schools.
Taylor Fish, the company’s Marketing Director, shared that the first 50 customers in line will receive an “exclusive gift.”
“We believe Capitol Hill is the perfect location for our first shop in Seattle,” said Chris Schultz, CEO of Voodoo Doughnut. “We’re not just opening a store; we’re becoming part of the community, and our partnership with FareStart highlights our commitment to making a positive impact.”
The Capitol Hill location will feature many of the chain’s popular items, such as the bacon maple bar, as well as a wide variety of vegan options.
