The only Duck Donuts location in Deerfield Township closed unexpectedly yesterday, according to a Facebook post from the store. FOX19 reported that the company’s statement thanked customers for their years of support, sparking disappointment among many loyal fans. On social media, several customers expressed their sadness over the closure. One customer shared a memory on Facebook, saying, “Duck Donuts holds a special place in my heart, originating from my favorite vacation spot, the Outer Banks in Nags Head, North Carolina.” Another wrote, “This is DEVASTATING! We love this place!” as reported by FOX19.
The closure’s duration remains unclear. Although the Mason location is still listed on the Duck Donuts website, there has been no official statement addressing the closure, as noted by the Cincinnati Business Journal. In 2024, other Duck Donuts locations, including those in Charlotte, Minneapolis’s Mall of America, and Louisville, have also closed.
With the Deerfield Township location now closed, the nearest Duck Donuts shop for Cincinnati residents is in Dayton, Ohio, as reported by Local12. Despite the disappointment, this provides some hope for fans, offering a nearby alternative for those craving the brand’s signature made-to-order donuts.
